Barrington Primary School Achieves Prestigious UNICEF Gold Rights Respecting School Award
We’re incredibly proud to share that Barrington Primary School, has achieved the UNICEF UK Rights Respecting School Award at Gold: Rights Respecting — the highest level of recognition in the programme.
Out of around 5,000 UK schools involved in UNICEF’s initiative, only 643 have reached Gold, placing Barrington Primary among a select few leading the way in embedding children’s rights, respect, and empowerment at the heart of school life.
Barrington Headteacher, Claire Clark, said
I am thrilled that the school has met the standard for UNICEF’s Rights Respecting Schools Award at Gold: Rights Respecting. It reflects the strong culture of inclusivity and respect that we see across our whole school and which celebrates how important pupil voice is in all that we do at Barrington. I would also like to say congratulations to Emma Taylor and Michael Clarkson who have worked so hard on this over the past couple of years.
This award reflects the school’s deep commitment to creating a culture where every child’s voice is heard and valued.
Congratulations to the staff and pupils at Barrington!
