Belmont Academy Pupils Welcome Local MP for Inspiring Parliament Visit

Belmont Academy was delighted to welcome local MP Louie French to the school for a special visit focused on pupil leadership.

The visit provided an exciting opportunity for members of the Belmont Parliament and House Captains to meet with a politician and gain insight into life in public office. 

During the visit, pupils led Mr French on a tour of the school, proudly showcasing their learning environment and sharing the Belmont  values.

A highlight of the visit was a Q&A session, where members of the Belmont Parliament and House Captains asked thoughtful questions about Mr French’s role, his responsibilities within the wider community, and the challenges and rewards of working in politics.

The visit reflects Belmont Academy’s ongoing commitment to developing pupil voice, leadership skills and active citizenship. A big thank you to Louie French for taking the time to visit and inspire our young leaders.
